For people who absolutely love music and music is life, you’ll understand what I mean when I say certain lyrics are EVERYTHING! You can listen to a song and the lyrics exude everything you’re feeling or going through at the time. When I find a song that resonates with me like that, I keep it on repeat. I can’t get enough of it! I decided that this will be a new weekly addition to my blog. Along with sharing the music I am currently loving, I am going to post lyrics that I feel match my mood. Sometimes, we don’t fully take a look at what is being said in these songs and we should be paying attention. There is usually so much depth in the words and being able to fully recognize that depth and meaning is therapeutic. The song lyrics I will be sharing today are from an Alicia Keys song. Her lyrics are always so profound and so meaningful. At times I feel myself getting lost in what she is saying. Her lyrics make me think; they transport me somewhere else, somewhere outside of reality. And it gives me a feeling like no other, to know that someone else out there in the world shares my same thoughts and emotions. So, today, I’d like for you to take a closer look at her lyrics for “No One” and see if it transports you to a time, place or relationship you’ve once encountered. And if nothing else, enjoy how poetic her lyrics are. If you have never listened to the song, I would highly recommend doing that as well.
